This method combines efficiency in producing phosphoroselenothioates and phosphoroselenoates, highlighting its broad substrate scope and sustainable approach.
We report a one‐pot, transition metal‐free oxidative P‐Se cross‐coupling reaction for the synthesis of Se‐phosphoroselenothioates/phosphoroselenoates under ambient conditions. The reaction between phosphonothioates/phosphonates and diaryl diselenides proceeds efficiently within 3 h in acetonitrile under an oxygen atmosphere, using Cs 2 CO 3 as a nontoxic base. This method stands out for its practical utility, combining a broad substrate scope, ease of operation, and scalability to gram‐level synthesis. Featuring a clean reaction profile and environmentally benign conditions, this method holds great promise for academic and industrial settings, providing a sustainable, and cost‐efficient solution.
