Genome assembly details two haplotypes of Adscita geryon, indicating significant genetic structure and assembly contributions.
<ns3:p>We present a genome assembly from an individual female <ns3:italic>Adscita geryon</ns3:italic> (Cistus Forester; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Zygaenidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 764.63 megabases and 670.15 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.63%) is scaffolded into 32 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W and Z sex chromosomes. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.32 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.</ns3:p>
