Genome assembly reveals two haplotypes in Zygaena carniolica, highlighting key chromosomal structures and mitochondrial data.
<ns7:p>We present a genome assembly from a female specimen of <ns7:italic>Zygaena carniolica</ns7:italic> (Crepuscular Burnet; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Zygaenidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 353.39 megabases and 323.68 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.94%) is scaffolded into 31 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W and Z sex chromosomes. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.56 kilobases.</ns7:p>
