Simulation study investigates flow characteristics in a gas-water mixer, suggesting improvements in mixing uniformity and jet pressure.
To address uneven gas-liquid mixing and insufficient pulse jet impact during plate heat exchanger cleaning, this paper proposes an integrated Venturi-Helmholtz gas-water mixer. Based on a refined two-dimensional model, this paper conducts simulation research using the Mixture-k-ε model. The reliability of the model is confirmed through grid independence verification and comparison with experimental data. The study analyzes the influence of two key parameters: chamber structure and throat-to-nozzle distance. The Helmholtz chamber enhances pressure fluctuations, with optimal mixing at nozzle-throat distance K=1. Flow field analysis reveals that the gas phase becomes uniform and turbulence increases during ventilation, while both decrease when the gas is shut off. The composite structure improves mixing uniformity and jet peak pressure through throat-chamber synergy, offering an efficient green industrial cleaning solution.
