This study presents a new distribution for skewed data, emphasizing its properties and statistical applications.
The study introduces a new distribution called asymmetric double Lindley distribution (ADLD), which is used to model data with asymmetric tails. The ADLD has two parameters representing skewness and shape, that control the asymmetry of the distribution. The location-scale extension of the ADLD called extended asymmetric two-tailed Lindley distribution (EADLD) is also introduced in this study. Further, this study provides an overview of the ADLD, including its properties, estimation method and applications as well.
