It is recognized for its role in transforming the economy of the society and improving the livelihoods of rural communities. The country's tourist attractions include national parks, lakes, tropical forests, traditional areas and national forests. Kenya has a diverse landscape, culture, flora and fauna. There is a lot of wildlife in the national parks. There are amazing water bodies in the country. Boats are common in lakes, especially Lake Victoria. In the River, travellers can encounter crocodiles, hippos, buffalo and many species of birds. There are many opportunities for hiking, climbing and nature walks. Despite the diversity of landscape and culture, there is an increasing response to activities such as visiting nearby tea plantations, learning about tea making and participating in farming. Kenya’s wildlife, adventure, religious and sports tourism are promising. Nature tourism is beneficial to Kenya’s exports, international trade, employment and poverty reduction. However, habitat loss, large numbers of tourists, wildlife decline and the threat of terrorism pose challenges to the economy. Masai Mara National Reserve is popular with wildlife tourism and tribal people. Tourism and wildlife accounts for about 8% of the total economy. The Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife has implemented policies to reduce these challenges and develop tourism in the country.
