Review paper maps challenges of circular economy for youth in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, indicating implications.
The concept of a circular economy is a solution that has been implemented in many countries at different paces and based on different strategies. This concept applies to a number of activities and areas of socio-economic life. Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are still searching for their development path; however, this path is based on the transition from a linear economic model to solutions based on a circular economy model. This transformation results from internal needs related to environmental protection problems as well as the need to look for effective and safe formulas to support economic development. The review paper aims to indicate the research field concerning young Kazakhs and Uzbeks, their place in the transition to circular economy and the justification of tackling this issue for the purpose of further research. The paper is a map on the literature on the young people in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan and the challenges of circular economy, it also constitutes a kind of organization of knowledge on the issue.
