This study aims to explore the implications of digital media on traditional communication models and how these changes necessitate a reevaluation of Communication Studies curricula. As conventional media outlets struggle to survive amidst technological disruption, it becomes imperative for Communication Studies programs to adapt. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing document studies, focus group discussions, and interviews with communication experts to identify the future direction of media platforms, business models, and required communication competencies. Findings suggest that media disruption, driven by the internet and social media, demands a curriculum overhaul, with a focus on digital literacy, critical media skills, and an interdisciplinary approach. The study highlights the importance of preparing future communication professionals to navigate the ethical, social, and political challenges posed by digital media.
