Case report details rare floret petal-shaped deposition on intraocular lens, highlighting monitoring for glaucoma.
We present a case of a 50-year-old gentleman with pseudoexfoliation syndrome, in which pseudoexfoliative material was deposited on the anterior surface of the intraocular lens (IOL), and the IOL was placed within the capsular bag. This case report indicates the exceptionally rare floret petal-shaped pseudoexfoliative material deposition on the anterior surface of the IOL years post cataract, along with the review of the literature, and meticulous follow-up is crucial for monitoring glaucoma progression in patients with pseudoexfoliation syndrome.
