Research shows the importance of teachers in enhancing reflection in primary school children, suggesting significant pedagogical implications.
The leading activity in primary school age is learning, and the main figure who organizes learning and carries out the educational process is the primary school teacher, and we consider it important to study the impact of primary school, indirectly through the teacher, on the development of reflection in primary school children. On the basis of educational activities, the main new formations of primary school age develop. The foundations for the development of a child's reflection are laid in their self-esteem and attitude to learning. The most important property of personal reflection is that in the course of its implementation the functions of the human psyche as its object change. Awareness, comprehension of the situation does not remain neutral in relation to the action, but directly affects it, enabling its conscious regulation. Reflection is a mechanism of personal development of the subject. The success of developing children's reflection and the acquisition of moral norms, culture of behavior, and values by primary school students depends on the teacher's attitude to their formation and development. It is the teacher who is able to implement a personality-oriented approach to the development of reflection in primary school children. In this context, the question of methodological preparation of teachers for the development of junior pupils' reflection arises. The result of methodological training of future primary school teachers to develop students' reflection is methodological readiness. Teacher's readiness is the result of scientific and methodological training. We consider the methodological preparation of future primary school teachers for the development of primary school students' reflection as a complex, open, dynamic system that includes goals, content, methods and means, organizational forms focused on the personality of the future teacher, which ensures the interaction of the teacher and students on the basis of a personal and activity approach that takes into account the development of modern society. The analysis of the emotional and volitional sphere and the level of cognitive activity of primary school children allowed us to develop a program for the development of students' reflection. Particular attention in the implementation of the program was paid to the development of patriotic and moral reflection. The program was offered to future primary school teachers in the process of studying the educational component “Reflection of a younger student”.
