The article presents the author's findings in the field of teaching methodological disciplines for the specialty Physical Culture and Sports. The purpose of the study is to present the logic of teaching a methodological discipline in the professional field of physical culture and sports in order to form standardized competencies and program learning outcomes. Emphasis is placed on individual tasks, which are key to mastering methodological disciplines, as they involve real scientific work – preparing theses, conference materials, publications in professional periodicals, public speeches, etc. – with a graded list of authors. The purpose, task blocks, and content of the modules of the academic discipline are specified for applicants to the Physical Culture and Sports educational program for 2024 and 2025 admissions to the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine. It is emphasized that a teacher-practitioner for methodological disciplines should be a doctor of science, professor, who is the head of scientific research of doctoral students, graduate students, master's students, winners of scientific competitions; has additional diplomas (certificates) of second (third) higher education, advanced training, internships; continue to conduct multi-vector scientific research and guide the scientific research of applicants, creating new and actively developing existing scientific schools; be invited as visiting professors and active speakers at public scientific events. It was concluded that successful mastery of methodological disciplines by applicants for the second (master's) level of higher education is ensured by a combination of the following components: the logic of presenting the information content of the educational component; adequate tasks taking into account the main directions of scientific activity; comprehensive control based on a multi-level approach. We also consider the personality, qualifications, and experience of the teacher who teaches these subjects to be significant for the successful mastery of methodological disciplines by students.
