The rise of AI-powered search strategies, such as Google’s Search Generative Experience (SGE), ChatGPT, and Perplexity, is fundamentally transforming the basic concepts of search engine optimization (SEO). Traditional SEO strategies built around keywords and backlinks are being challenged by new content optimization strategies that focus on providing specific answers to users (AEO) and do not lead to clicks to external pages. These revolutionary changes are challenging organic search traffic, content visibility, and digital marketing strategies. The article analyzes key trends such as zero click traffic, the advancement of semantic search, and the growing importance of authoritative, structured, and conversational content. The business implications are discussed, including declining click-through rates, the need for entity-based SEO, and the role of natural language processing (NLP) in modern search algorithms. By evaluating case studies and industry data, this study highlights both the challenges and opportunities presented by AI-powered search. It provides strategic SEO recommendations that will help businesses remain competitive. The study’s findings suggest that while traditional SEO is not obsolete, its integration with AEO will be critical to maintaining online visibility in a changing digital environment.
