The pedagogical experiment improves climbing methods for firefighters using hook ladders in emergencies.
Purpose. The article examines existing methods of climbing to the fourth floor of a drill tower in turnout gear using a hook ladder, as well as identifies methods features and directions for their improvement. Methods. The authors used theoretical analysis and generalization of research and methodological literature, pedagogical observations, controlled pedagogical assessment, pedagogical experiment, mathematical and statistical methods of analyzing experimental data, descriptive statistics and comparison of sampling means. Findings. A long-term pedagogical experiment allowed testing the developed method of climbing to the fourth floor of a drill tower in a turnout gear using a hook ladder. The proposed method has shown its reliable effectiveness according to the results of the study. Research application field. The obtained results can be used in professional training of firefighters and rescuers, as well as in practical activities in suppressing fires and eliminating emergencies. Conclusions. Further research may be aimed at developing ways to improve methods for meeting the following standards for fire drill training: carrying, сlimbing a drill tower using both extension and hook ladders, climbing chained hook ladders.
