Analysis reveals shape memory effects in Ti-Ni alloy joints created by tungsten inert gas welding, indicating potential applications.
The shape memory effect has been examined using the example of Ti-Ni alloy welded joint (Ti - 55.42% Ni - nitinol). Joints of 2 mm diameter wire were obtained using tungsten inert gas welding. The macro- and microstructures of the joints were studied, bending tests were carried out, and the shape memory effect of the obtained welded joints was studied.
