The purpose of this study is to explore a standardized major curriculum performance management system. Specifically, the focus was on developing a performance management system applicable to major curriculum offered in colleges based on an approach by theme area. As a research method, a theoretical review was conducted to explore key elements of the performance management system, and then three Delphi surveys were conducted for experts. These are expert panels with expertise and representation in the field of higher curriculum and evaluation, and the content validity of the research results was secured by systematically collecting expert opinions and reaching an agreement. Subsequently, in order to verify the field applicability of the derived performance management system, a survey was conducted within the department committee in a college to collect their opinions. The performance management system of major curriculum consisted of three theme areas of educational value (i.e., learning outcome, educational delivery and guarantee, and educational value) and five performance factors (i.e., excellence, accountability, efficiency, relevance, and innovation) according to the approach by each theme area. Based on the key factors derived above, a total of eight educational indicators were derived. As a result, this study is significant in that it provides an implementation basis for enhancing the college's autonomous educational quality management capabilities and systematically checking the performance of the major curriculum through the development of a performance management system.
