We have studied the chiral-odd generalized parton distributions (GPDs) for the octet baryons within the framework of diquark spectator model, emphasizing the difference arising from different quark flavors of proton <a:math xmlns:a="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><a:mi>p</a:mi></a:math> and light hyperons <c:math xmlns:c="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><c:msup><c:mi mathvariant="normal">Σ</c:mi><c:mo>+</c:mo></c:msup></c:math> and <f:math xmlns:f="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><f:msup><f:mi mathvariant="normal">Ξ</f:mi><f:mn>0</f:mn></f:msup></f:math>. The equation of quark-quark correlator for the tensor current has been solved to investigate the transversely polarized quark dynamics using light-cone wave functions. In the forward limit, transversity distributions of all the constituent quark flavors of proton, <i:math xmlns:i="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><i:msup><i:mi mathvariant="normal">Σ</i:mi><i:mo>+</i:mo></i:msup></i:math> and <l:math xmlns:l="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><l:msup><l:mi mathvariant="normal">Ξ</l:mi><l:mn>0</l:mn></l:msup></l:math>, have been studied. Additionally, the first moment of GPD <o:math xmlns:o="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><o:msub><o:mi>H</o:mi><o:mi>T</o:mi></o:msub></o:math> and the combination of GPDs <q:math xmlns:q="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><q:msub><q:mi>E</q:mi><q:mi>T</q:mi></q:msub></q:math> and <s:math xmlns:s="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><s:msub><s:mover accent="true"><s:mi>H</s:mi><s:mo stretchy="false">˜</s:mo></s:mover><s:mi>T</s:mi></s:msub></s:math> have also been investigated. Our results are comparable with other available model predictions and lattice data for the proton. Furthermore, we have presented a comparative analysis of tensor charges and anomalous tensor magnetic moments for all the constituent quark flavors of the considered baryons, comparing them with available data obtained from different approaches.
