Analysis shows positive and negative effects of online gaming on children's emotional development, indicating balanced parental guidance is vital.
Most children currently engage in online gaming, and most of them are playing an online game known as Roblox. The game is designed for children aged 8 to 12. This is an age group where there is a clear emotional and intellectual growth in which they show curiosity, innovativeness, and interact with other children. Despite the positive effects of playing Roblox, this usually overrides the potential negative effects or risks that might hit the children. According to the study, online gaming may be used in a responsible manner, but certain attention should be paid to the guidance that would assist in the formation of children, instead of hurting them. The paper examines both the positive and the adverse effects of Roblox in order to determine the effects it has on the emotional development and problem solving processes of Roblox. The control or management of the parents of their children to keep the balance and responsible gaming of the children will be incorporated in the study.
