Quantitative analysis reveals that sustainability reports influence company value, while financial performance and growth show no significant effect, suggesting further investigation is needed.
Research Aims: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and corporate sustainability reports have become important themes in the company's development in recent years. The higher the company's stock price, the greater the profit investors get. When the value of a company decreases, investors' returns also decrease, and investors' willingness to invest also decreases. This study aims to find out how the disclosure of sustainability reports affects company value, how financial performance affects company value and how company growth affects company value. Design/methodology/approach: Quantitative methods were used in this study with the population of companies listed on the IDX in the basic industry sector in 2018–2023. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The data analysis used in this study is a classical assumption test, a hypothesis test, and a multiple regression test. Research Findings: The results of the study show that the disclosure of sustainability reports has an effect on company value, financial performance has no effect on company value, company growth has no effect on company value and the disclosure of sustainability reports, financial performance and company growth simultaneously have a significant effect on company value. Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This research has several limitations, including that the sample size is still limited to only basic chemical manufacturing companies that have been listed on the stock exchange and have published sustainability reports, giving rise to the potential for ineffectiveness in the research results. Research limitation and implication: The research findings indicate that social media has a positive and significant impact on mental health, but excessive use can lead to anxiety, stress, depression, and loneliness among teenagers. This study identified that 53% of teenagers fall into the moderate category of mental health issues.
