Individuals with disabilities typically endure both reduced employment opportunities and lower wages than individuals without disabilities. In addition to these losses, individuals with disabilities experience a decline in their ability to perform household services, displayed by both reduction of hours spent performing household services and relative productivity during completion of household tasks. This articles examines a data-based approach to measuring the impact of partial disability on household services through the use of American Time Use Survey (ATUS) data.
