Intervention enhances nutritional status and quality of life in patients, suggesting significant benefits from care.
Objective To investigate the effects of a multidimensional comprehensive nursing intervention on liver fibrosis indicators and nutritional status in patients with compensated hepatitis B cirrhosis. Methods A total of 90 patients with compensated hepatitis B cirrhosis admitted to our hospital from January 2023 to January 2025 were randomly divided into two groups, with 45 patients in each group. The control group received routine nursing care, while the observation group received a multidimensional comprehensive nursing intervention in addition to routine care. We compared the changes in liver fibrosis indicators (serum HA, PCIII, CIV, LN) and nutritional status indicators (BMI, serum albumin ALB, prealbumin PA, lymphocyte count) between the two groups. We also compared their quality of life and satisfaction. Results After the intervention, the liver fibrosis indicators (serum HA, PCIII, CIV, CIV) in the observation group were significantly lower compared to the control group (all p<.05). The nutritional status indicators (BMI, serum albumin ALB, prealbumin PA, lymphocyte count) showed significant improvement (all p<.05), and the total SF-36 score increased (p<.05), with a statistically significant difference. The nursing satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (p<.05), and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion Multidimensional comprehensive nursing intervention can effectively improve liver fibrosis indicators and nutritional status in patients with compensated hepatitis B cirrhosis. It can also significantly enhance patients’ quality of life and lead to higher satisfaction.
