Phytosociological assessment reveals ecological health and tree diversity in Salumarada Thimmakka Park, guiding conservation efforts.

To study the composition and diversity of tree species for effective forest conservation and management.
Conducted in Salumarada Thimmakka Park using random sampling with quadrants.
Assessed biodiversity using multiple diversity indices such as Shannon-Weiner and Simpson’s Diversity Indices.
Identified 240 tree species distributed into 8 families.
Dominant families included Fabaceae and Santalaceae.
Santalum album had the highest IVI (54.23) while Mangifera indica had the lowest IVI (4.6).
Quadrant 4 exhibited the highest biodiversity compared to others.

D et al. (2025) studied this question.
