Observational analysis reveals enhanced energy storage properties in Bi6−xLaxAlMg0.5Ti3.5O18 films with ferroelectric phases, indicating improved stability.
The Bi6−xLaxAlMg0.5Ti3.5O18 films were fabricated via the combination of sol-gel and plasma technologies. The coexistence of the ferroelectric phase and the relaxor ferroelectric phase in the Bi6−xLaxAlMg0.5Ti3.5O18 films is disclosed via the intergrowth mode induced by La3+ doping. The coexistence mode of phase structures enables the simultaneous enhancement of polarization intensity and relaxor characteristics. Ultimately, the Bi4.9La1.1AlMg0.5Ti3.5O18 film exhibited ideal energy storage characteristics (66.46 J/cm3 and 86.83%) under medium-low electric fields, along with excellent stability. This offers insights into enhancing the energy storage properties of Aurivillius bismuth layer structured ferroelectric films under medium and low electric fields.
