This report demonstrates energy recovery and waste recycling efficiency in Egypt, indicating improvements in economic outcomes and environmental impact.
This research report presents an integrated, practical, and industrially validated framework for hazardous waste recycling and alternative fuel production in Egypt, based on operational data and field experience from 2018 to 2025. The study documents the methodologies, technologies, and treatment processes used by Pure Life Biofuels for converting hazardous, non-hazardous, and agricultural waste into valuable products, including bio-coal briquettes, fuel oil, carbon black, base oil SN 500, petroleum grease, and recycled polymers. The report includes an evaluation of Phase 1 (2018–2024), covering waste processing volumes, KPIs, environmental impact, economic outcomes, revenue generation, and carbon emission reduction. It highlights the real-world results achieved through pyrolysis, hydrothermal carbonization (HTC), briquetting, and used-oil refining technologies implemented in industrial settings across multiple Egyptian governorates. In addition, the study proposes an expansion model for a fully integrated hazardous waste landfill and treatment facility, providing a scalable roadmap for national and regional waste management strategies aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This work serves as a practical reference for policymakers, environmental institutions, researchers, and investors interested in Waste-to-Energy (WtE), circular economy applications, and sustainable waste management practices in developing countries.
