Experiments show that mineral and biological fertilizers improve productivity and nutrient content in eastern goatgrass, indicating potential for forage crops.
A study examined the effects of different doses and combinations of mineral fertilizers and associative nitrogen-fixing microorganisms on the productivity of eastern goatgrass. Applying mineral fertilizers resulted in an increase in green mass yield ranging from 13.2 to 45.4 t/ha, while adding biological preparations further increased this range to between 24.1 and 59.9 t of green mass/ha. Using these fertilizers improved product quality by enhancing nutrient content in plants and altering nutrient uptake rates.
