The article presents a systematic analysis of the evolution of ergodesign from protoforms of human cooperation with nature to the modern interdisciplinary design paradigm. The philosophical and methodological basis of ergodesign are explored in the context of the technogenic transformation of humans in the system “human – society – technosphere – biosphere”.
