Exploratory analysis reveals pseudoscalar toponium production in photon and gluon interactions, suggesting potential event estimates for future colliders.
An exploratory study of the exclusive toponium production in <a:math xmlns:a="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"> <a:mi>p</a:mi> <a:mi>p</a:mi> </a:math> , <c:math xmlns:c="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"> <c:mrow> <c:mi>p</c:mi> <c:mi>P</c:mi> <c:mi>b</c:mi> </c:mrow> </c:math> , and <e:math xmlns:e="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"> <e:mi>P</e:mi> <e:mi>b</e:mi> <e:mi>P</e:mi> <e:mi>b</e:mi> </e:math> collisions at the center-of-mass energies of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and Future Circular Collider (FCC) is performed. Assuming that the toponium is a pseudoscalar <g:math xmlns:g="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"> <g:mi>t</g:mi> <g:mover accent="true"> <g:mi>t</g:mi> <g:mo stretchy="false">¯</g:mo> </g:mover> </g:math> state, we consider its exclusive production by photon and gluon-induced interactions. Results for the total cross sections and associated rapidity distributions are presented, and the number of events at the LHC and FCC are estimated.
