Analysis reveals insights on statistical approaches and thermal equilibrium in nuclear collisions at intermediate energies.
In this study, we have investigated the mechanisms of nuclear particle production in the intermediate energy heavy ion collisions. The current theoretical description of nuclear multi-fragmentation in these collisions is realized by several methods including dynamical and statistical approaches. First, central collisions starting from projectile energies of 100 MeV/nucleon up to energies of 600 MeV/nucleon are analyzed by using hybrid version of the statistical multifragmentation model. In this context, we have used the clusterization of nucleons method based on the statistical multifragmentation model, which assumes that thermal equilibrium is reached in the low-density freezing volume. This method is based on the clusterization of baryons, where excited nuclear clusters form at a local thermal equilibrium.
