Clinical case shows successful endovascular intervention for traumatic pseudoaneurysm following stab wound, indicating need for monitoring in vascular injuries.
Traumatic vascular injuries to the lower limbs can lead to significant morbidity and mortality. Close monitoring, early recognition, and intervention are associated with good outcomes. Intervention radiological management is gaining popularity and effectiveness. We present the case of a 25-year-old male who presented with a stab wound to the thigh, and there was damage to the superficial femoral artery. This instance underscores the significance of diligent monitoring, follow-up care, early detection of traumatic pseudoaneurysm and arteriovenous fistulas, and prompt effective endovascular intervention management.
