This design approach uses Vivaldi antennas to achieve minimal pattern overlap, suggesting benefits for 5G applications.
In this paper, we come up with a unique technique to generate the ideal pattern diversity with the help of 24 Vivaldi antennas. With the help of a mathematical concept called golden angle, the 24 antenna elements are arranged in such a way that the radiation patterns will never overlap. It is also verified from the simulations and the measured results that the envelope correlation coefficient is less than 0.01 in the 3 GHz to 4.2 GHz which is a sub‐6 GHz band for 5G. This same concept can be extended to a greater number of antennas also. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved
