The specific natural conditions of active combat activity of groups of Crimean partisans and military personnel of special reconnaissance and sabotage groups are revealed, episodes of actions of these formations are described. The events related to the Vernon group, which was based in the steppe part of the Crimean Foothills and successfully conducted many relevant actions, are particularly detailed. For the first time, information is provided about the actions of the partisans and special groups, which are reflected only in the documents of the German occupiers.
