In this paper, we study the existence and stability of solitary wave solutions for the generalized Benjamin equation in both the L² -critical and L² -supercritical cases by applying the variational methods and the non-homogeneous Gagliardo–Nirenberg inequality. Our main results generalize and complement the existing results in the literature.
