Catalytic removal performance reveals 91.5% NO conversion in bimetallic oxide, suggesting improved efficiency for low-temperature reactions.
Reducing nitrogen oxide (NO x ) emissions is crucial for controlling a range of environmental issues, including acid rain, smog, and photochemical smog. In this work, Ce‐UIO‐66 derived bimetallic Ce–Mn composite oxide catalysts with different Ce/Mn molar ratios were prepared via a solvothermal method. The optimized catalyst achieved a NO conversion rate of 91.5% at 100 °C and maintained a conversion rate exceeding 95% within the 120 to 200 °C temperature range. The outstanding performance of the Ce‐UIO‐66 derived Ce–Mn bimetallic composite oxide is attributed to its high specific surface area, high surface basicity, high concentration of active oxygen species, and excellent redox properties. In situ DRIFTS experiments revealed that, at low temperatures, the NH 3 ‐SCR reaction on this catalyst involves both E‐R and L‐H mechanisms, but primarily follows the E‐R reaction pathway. This work provides new insights into the design and preparation of highly efficient low‐temperature NH 3 ‐SCR catalysts.
