This analysis describes cyclopropanation and cyclization reactions using unstrained ketones, indicating broad substrate versatility.
Synthesis of cyclopropanes and five-membered sultines using a two-component and three-component radical addition-polar cyclization cascade (RPCC) strategy has been reported here, respectively. The cyclopropanation method features a broad substrate scope (47 examples), excellent functional group tolerance, and a gram-scale reaction, highlighting its synthetic utility. Furthermore, the successful application of dihydroquinozolinones derived from di- and trifluoroacetophenone to prepare cyclic sultines expanded the versatility of these perfluoromethylation reagents.
