Clinical evidence supports injection moulding with resin composite for aesthetic restoration of anterior teeth, implying a minimally invasive approach may be effective.
A young female patient presented with a severely discoloured, root-filled central incisor and other aesthetic complaints affecting her upper anterior teeth. After lengthy consultations and planning appointments the patient decided that she would prefer internal bleaching and composite bonding rather than an indirect restoration. It was decided that a minimally invasive approach could restore the anterior dentition to a high aesthetic standard although there would be a degree of compromise in terms of masking the very dark central. CPD/Clinical Relevance: Injection moulding with resin composite is suitable for a variety of clinical indications.
