Application of steel fiber concrete improves dynamic load resistance in school buildings, indicating benefits for sustainability.
This study explores the application of steel fiber-reinforced concrete as a sustainable solution for strengthening reinforced concrete structures in school buildings. The research highlights the environmental benefits of using fiber concrete, including reduced material consumption, lower carbon footprint, and enhanced durability of load-bearing structures. The study presents dynamic and analytical calculations performed in LIRA PC, evaluating the long-term load-bearing capacity of the building under operational conditions. The findings demonstrate that steel fiber reinforcement improves resistance to dynamic loads, reduces maintenance costs, and extends the lifespan of buildings, contributing to the principles of sustainable and energy-efficient construction.
