This study proposes a novel biomimetic composite structure combining a butterfly‐inspired negative Poisson's ratio (NPR) honeycomb core with corrugated reinforcements. The mechanical behavior, deformation mechanisms, and energy absorption characteristics are investigated through quasistatic compression experiments and finite element simulations along the x ‐, y ‐, and z ‐directions. Results demonstrate that the composite structure exhibits anisotropic responses and significantly enhance load‐bearing capacity and energy absorption efficiency compared to the single NPR honeycomb. At 50% strain, the composite achieved energy absorption increases of 307%, 61%, and 32.2%, and specific energy absorption gains of 241%, 35%, and 10.8% along the x ‐, y ‐, and z ‐axes, respectively. The corrugated core improve structural stability and stress dispersion while partially suppressing the NPR effect. This design successfully balances lightweight with high energy absorption, offering promising application potential in impact protection.
