Literature review reveals insights on integrating artificial intelligence into entrepreneurship education, indicating diverse international practices.
This study aims to explore domestic and international research trends regarding the application of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in entrepreneurship education and to propose future educational directions. A total of 31 academic papers were analyzed through a systematic literature review, and additional case studies of generative AI applied in Korea’s startup education ecosystem were examined. The findings show that research on generative AI in entrepreneurship education began in earnest following the emergence of ChatGPT in 2022 and surged in 2024. International studies have conducted broad and in-depth discussions, focusing on integrating various AI tools into education, developing systematic educational frameworks, addressing changes in instructors' roles, evaluating the impact on entrepreneurial mindsets, and exploring ethical and critical perspectives. In contrast, domestic research remains in the exploratory stage, primarily centered on pilot studies and effect verification. Case analyses revealed that domestic educational practices often limit AI education to tool usage and use-case instruction, or rely on paid learning communities effective only for highly motivated learners. Accordingly, this study presents practical and policy recommendations for effectively integrating generative AI into entrepreneurship education from the perspectives of experiential learning and cooperative learning theories, based on the gap between domestic and international research and insights from recent domestic case studies.
