The Kosanička Rača locality is notable for its fossil macroflora, and arthropod remains, primarily insects. Age of sediments is based on paleofloristic investigations as Early Oligocene. Material includes sixteen specimens, consisting of one Diplopoda and fifteen insects. Due to their poor state of preservation, these specimens could only be classified at taxonomic levels that were ascertainable. This study identifies three groups of arthropods: those from moist habitats (JULIDAE), terrestrial flying insects (Bombus), and aquatic specimens like Notonecta. These findings indicate that the fossil community existed near water bodies.
