A Jackson State University student arrived on campus with a companion who was considering attending the university. Shortly thereafter, an argument broke out between them. According to the companion, the student became physically aggressive and forcefully pulled them from a vehicle. Based on this account, campus police arrested the student for assault. During the arrest, officers searched the student's belongings and discovered a handgun.
