This paper presents a formal application of System Architecture Archaeology (SAA), a forensic framework for reconstructing lost institutional information systems from material artifacts. Using the Phaistos Disc as a case study, the paper demonstrates how empirically grounded metadata can be used to generate a plausible and falsifiable system-level interpretation of an undeciphered object without requiring linguistic decipherment.
