The TNA framework reveals tumor heterogeneity and chemoresistance in oncology, indicating metabolic and immune factors.
Cancer is traditionally modeled through genetic mutations, signaling pathway dysregulation, and tumor microenvironment alterations. This paper proposes a TNA-based framework, viewing tissues as open systems where cellular coherence requires continuous throughput (Ψ) to discharge incoming incoherence (G). When G exceeds Ψ, accumulated incoherence (ℵ) manifests as uncontrolled proliferation, tumor formation, or metastatic spread. Phenomena such as tumor heterogeneity, chemoresistance, and relapse are reframed as throughput saturation rather than isolated molecular failures. The model is falsifiable, predictive, and integrates metabolism, immune surveillance, and tissue repair into a unified framework.
