This academic poster presents a Community-Based Participatory Action Research (CBPAR)-informed qualitative study examining body image experiences among South Asian and U.S. men. Drawing on focus group discussions, the study explores how social media, cultural norms, and constructions of masculinity shape men’s perceptions of body image across cultural contexts. The research aims to amplify underrepresented male voices in body image and mental health scholarship and to inform the development of a culturally grounded body image measurement scale for men. This work was developed as part of doctoral-level coursework in communication and public health–related research.
