To the Editor, I read with great interest the article by Venkateshvaran et al., which provides an evaluation of right ventricular (RV) global wasted work (GWW) derived from three-dimensional echocardiography in patients with precapillary pulmonary hypertension (PH) 1 .The authors should be congratulated for addressing an important and still insufficiently explored dimension of RV pathophysiology, namely myocardial energetic inefficiency, and for integrating non-invasive pressure-strain analysis with invasive hemodynamics and long-term clinical outcomes.
