This study examines the complex framework of Information Technology (IT) governance competencies and their significant impact on the academic network of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela (PLV). The investigation explores how technology permeates every facet of the institution, influencing staff productivity, faculty pedagogy, and student outcomes beyond the traditional boundaries of hardware and software. Utilizing a quantitative research design, data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires adapted from established studies and administered to a stratified random sample of 100 respondents, ensuring representation across teaching staff, non-teaching personnel, and the student body. The analytical framework employed descriptive statistics to illustrate the current institutional climate, correlation analysis to evaluate stakeholder alignment, and multiple regression analysis to determine the predictive impact of IT governance on institutional performance. The findings reveal a significant positive relationship between governance and performance within administrative and student sectors (R2 = 0.642, p = 0.0168); however, a critical perceptual rift was identified among teaching faculty, where the impact was statistically insignificant. This research sheds light on how PLV’s approach to strategic alignment and resource optimization influences institutional excellence while highlighting the necessity of mitigating IT-related risks to safeguard data and reputation. Ultimately, the study elucidates the vital relationship between inclusive IT governance and the overall well-being of the PLV academic community, offering a roadmap for more integrated digital management.
