Since ancient times, both conventional and contemporary medicine have utilised insects and the materials that can be derived from them for therapeutic purposes. There are reportedly thousands of insect species with medicinal properties in the world. Due to their intimate proximity to the natural world and its resources, tribes and rural groups possess a wealth of knowledge that might be utilised by science and industry to treat a variety of illnesses. Additionally, if explored then it will also give these associated communities a reliable source of income. This review highlights the use of insect and or their derivatives as probable medicine.
