This report evaluates historic property impacts due to a natural gas pipeline installation, suggesting no adverse effects.
This document is a report for the proposed Natural Gas Pipeline Project on Vandenberg Air Force Base (VAFB). The report examines the effects to significant historic properties as a result of the installation of a natural gas (NG) pipeline to provide fuel to the Space Transportation System (STS) Power Plant. The investigation of the archaeological resources in the vicinity of the NG pipeline includes five actions: 1) identification; 2) evaluation; 3) determination of eligibility; 4) nomination to, or determination of eligibility for listing in NRHP; and 5) resource treatment. Six sites of the 14 potentially affected properties had been determined eligible prior to initiation of the current project. An additional two properties were determined eligible as a result of the archaeological testing and evaluation program for the NG pipeline.
