Geochemical analysis finds limited bauxite resources in Early Carboniferous weathering crust, indicating tectonic stability periods.
The Early Carboniferous weathering crust has been studied on the southern Siberian Platform. The data obtained indicate that finding bauxites of this age is hardly possible. It is noted that the existence of two time levels of formation of the weathering crust during the Early Carboniferous suggest two long periods of stabilization of tectonic regime in the region under study.
