We discard the notion that the fine-structure constant α is an arbitrary parameter of nature. We demonstrate that α is a purely geometric projection factor arising from the kinematics of a Triple Helix flow on a tip-fused bicone manifold. By strictly enforcing the topological stability conditions of the Braid Group B3, the helix pitch angle ψ is quantized. The coupling constant emerges as α = sin (ψ), representing the efficiency of projecting a superluminal helical trajectory onto a subluminal propagation axis. The value α^−1 ≈ 137 is the inevitable consequence of braid topology.
