This systematic review aims to synthesize available evidence regarding the prevalence of Medication Overuse Headache (MOH) within the general adult population of Latin America. The review will adhere to PRISMA 2020 guidelines and search for observational studies (cross-sectional and cohorts analyzed cross-sectionally) in electronic databases (PubMed, Embase, LILACS, Google Scholar). We will include studies reporting epidemiological data on MOH diagnosed according to ICHD criteria or based on compatible clinical description: headache frequency ≥15 days/month combined with excessive use of symptomatic medication for a period > 3 months.
