This cumulative dissertation consists of five independent research papers. The first two papers focus on retail investors and their trading behavior in a social environment. The third and fourth papers examine the behavior of professional risk managers and how their decision-making is influenced by specific personality traits. The final paper explores individuals' risk perception during the COVID-19 pandemic.
